Mental Health Support Group
This is an informal group that aims to provide a safe place for people who are, or have been, struggling with any mental health issues, or support those who do. It is a place to get to know each other and build community together, encouraging one another whilst on the road to recovery. The group meets every week at 10:30am, either in the church building or, more infrequently, for coffee in someone's home. We also have more spontaneous opportunities to meet in town for coffee, for anyone who just wants to touch base and catch-up. If you'd like to know upcoming dates and locations, just get in touch. __

Accessibility
This group is hosted in the Welcome Area of our building so is easily accessed through our main Sunday doors, with no steps into the building. Chairs are arranged in a loose circle with plenty of maneuvering space and easy access to a disabled bathroom.
If you have any sensory or other specific needs that it would be helpful for you to discuss before you come, feel free to get in touch beforehand and we can chat through these with you.

The Leadership Course is a new course designed to help you explore what it looks like an equip you to lead at Grace Church. Over five weeks we'll look at the character of a Godly leader, the core beliefs and values we hold that shape our leadership, and train you in practical skills to create effective and sustainable leadership.

God continues to grow us as a church, but in order to steward that growth we need to raise up a new generation of leaders - we'd love you to consider whether that could be you!

Who's it for?
It's open to everyone! If you're interested and willing to give 5 evenings to attend the sessions, then sign up.

When is it?
Starts Monday 16th February and continues on Monday evenings with the last session on 16th March. Sessions run from 7.30-9.15pm.

(You can find out more about them by clicking here.)  Whatever your circumstances - whether porn is a struggle or not, whether you're single or married - this session is for you. We all live in a hyper-sexual culture which is shaped by pornography and this session will equip and encourage us as we navigate that culture. The session will be front led, without being exposing to anyone. The Bereavement Journey
The Bereavement Journey is a 7 week programme designed to help anyone explore and process the loss of someone important to them. Grief is often accompanied by deep sorrow and pain. The separation from someone close to us causes emotional, psychological and physical reactions which can feel overwhelming. Loss needs to be processed for our physical and mental health and wellbeing. Unresolved grief can also affect our attitudes, relationships and attainment

The Bereavement Journey has been designed to validate every person's experience and support them as they learn to live life without the person they love, through a series of films and discussion groups that gently guide people bereaved at any time through the most common aspects of grief and bereavement, enabling them to process the implications for themselves and discern next steps. Topics include: "Attachment, separation and loss", "The impact and pain of bereavement", "Anger and guilt", "Coping with others' reactions", "Adjusting to change", "Delayed and suppressed grief", and "Moving forward healthily". The course provides a great place for talking to others who have been bereaved, or just hear how others are experiencing and dealing with similar issues. Grief is more easily managed when journeying with others and past losses can be opened up safely. The Bereavement Journey has been found valuable to anyone, bereaved at anytime and from walks of life.

Some more general information can be found online at https://www.thebereavementjourney.org/ and questions about our course at Grace Church can be sent to bereavement@gracechurchnottingham.org

So that we can cater well for those wishing to attend the course, it is essential that you sign up in advance - signups will be open from Monday 26 January 2026. There is a £10 charge to cover the cost of materials. However, if this would cause you difficulties in any way, please contact us. Doors will open at 7.15pm for a prompt 7.30pm start each week.

Prayer & Fasting
Once a term we set aside three days as a church to pray and fast together. Prayer & Fasting, which runs from Tuesday to Thursday, has been at the heart of our journey as a church over many years and it's from some of these times that we've heard God speak most clearly about our future as a church. We pray because we know the power it holds and we fast because time and time again in the Bible we see God move as His people fasted.

We run prayer meetings every evening on these days at 7.30pm at the church building.

We'd love you to consider fasting for all or some of these three days. Fasting is deliberately abstaining from the normal routines of life in a way that causes us to depend on God. For some helpful tips on fasting and why we do it please visit graceconnection.co.uk/fasting.

Something special happens when the church gather to pray so we'd love you to be part of it.

Join us on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings at 7.30pm.
