We'd love for you to be part of this too, so why not come along. __

To do that, Ben & Emily, our leaders, would love to have you round their house for a meal. It's all very relaxed and just gives you a chance to get to know them and ask any questions you might have.

All you need to do is register your interest, so that we can make sure we welcome you well and we've got enough food for everyone attending. Pop your name below and we'll get in touch with all the details you need. __

Prayer & Fasting
Once a term we set aside three days as a church to pray and fast together. Prayer & Fasting, which runs from Tuesday to Thursday, has been at the heart of our journey as a church over many years and it's from some of these times that we've heard God speak most clearly about our future as a church. We pray because we know the power it holds and we fast because time and time again in the Bible we see God move as His people fasted.

We run prayer meetings every evening on these days at 7.30pm at the church building.

We'd love you to consider fasting for all or some of these three days. Fasting is deliberately abstaining from the normal routines of life in a way that causes us to depend on God. For some helpful tips on fasting and why we do it please visit graceconnection.co.uk/fasting.

Something special happens when the church gather to pray so we'd love you to be part of it.

Join us on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings at 7.30pm.

Baptism Sunday
It's Baptism Sunday! We love celebrating what Jesus has done in people's lives and believe that baptism is an important step on our journey living for Jesus. This week at all 3 of our Sunday services, you're invited to come and join the celebration as we hear what God's been doing in people's lives and baptise them. We'll be runing our usual children's programme for ages 0-18 at our morning meetings so if you do have kids you'll be well looked after.

We meet in the city centre so we're only a few minutes walk from the train and bus stations as well as being close to lots of parking. Visit us this weekend, we would love to say hello.

Pursuit Conference
Pursuit Conference is a day conference for Young Adults across our Grace Connection churches here in the UK.

At the heart of Pursuit Conference is a desire to chase after God with everything we've got and spurring one another on as we run this race together. We'll gather young adults from across five cities – Nottingham, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle and Leicester – to encounter Jesus and be shaped by Him. We believe there's so much in store for us when we fix our eyes on Him.

This year we're thrilled that Andy & Victoria Armstrong from Gorton, Manchester, will be joining us for the day. They have a wealth of experience and wisdom in what it looks like to be resilient and have active faith and what it means when following Jesus means taking the narrow path.

Registration will be open soon so make sure you check back and sign up to book your place - you won't want to miss it!

Month of Prayer
Whenever we make space to seek the Lord, he never wastes a moment.

Prayer has always been a high priority for us as a church, and we've found such value in beginning the year with a Month of Prayer over the past few years, so will be doing so again as we welcome in 2027.

We'll be holding various events over the month, including some whole-church prayer & worship gatherings, so make sure you check back regularly to see what's going on. We also have a booklet to help us find a weekly rhythm to help us pray - you can pick up a copy each Sunday through January.

The Leadership Course
The Leadership Course is designed to help you explore what it looks like and equip you to lead at Grace Church. Over five weeks we'll look at the character of a Godly leader, the core beliefs and values we hold that shape our leadership, and train you in practical skills to create effective and sustainable leadership.

Youth Weekend Away
What?
Our Youth Weekend away is exactly what is says on the tin. It is a chance for us to spend a weekend together - worshipping, praying, learning more about God and having lots of fun!

We will have plenty of opportunities to get to know one another better, enjoy meals around the table, form and develop our friendships, and (most importantly!) worship and deepen our relationship with God. We will have morning/evening sessions of worship and teaching mixed with loads of games and activities during the day.  When & Where?
The weekend will be happening from the 12th-14th February 2027.  We'll head to our venue on Friday evening and will make our way back to Grace Church on Sunday afternoon. Full details of times and locations will be released nearer the date.     Who?
The Weekend Away is for anyone in School Years 7-13. The event is open to all of our youth, regardless of how involved you are – everyone is welcome!  The youth will be accompanied on the weekend by members of our youth team, all of whom are DBS Checked and have received Safeguarding Training from Grace Church.  How much?
We try to keep our events as low-cost as possible and the cost of the weekend will cover food, accommodation, activities and transport for the entirety of the weekend. Details of costs will be made available nearer the date but if you have any questions in the meantime please get in touch.

*If there are any problems with the cost or payment, please reach to ask for details of how we can help you. We don't want funding to be a barrier to any young person attending.

Kids' Club
Our Kids' Club is back this February half term!

Kids in school years Reception-Year 6 are invited to join us for a free day of fun activities including games, arts & crafts, music and stories from the Bible!

This is a ticketed event and will require you to sign your child/children up for the event - tickets will open nearer the event date, so check back later to book yours. If tickets are sold out, please email us with your child's name and date of birth at kids@gracechurchnottingham.org to join the waitlist.

The day will run from 10am-3pm (doors will open for registration at 9.30am) and children will need to bring a packed lunch (no nuts please) and a named water bottle. If you will have difficulty providing a lunch for your child, we may be able to help so please contact us at kids@gracechurchnottingham.org. We'll provide all other snacks throughout the day, so do make sure you include any dietary requirements/allergies when you sign up.

Unfortunately we cannot accommodate children who are in Preschool or younger, or those at secondary school.

We believe photos and videos can help us celebrate church life so our Media Team may take photos/videos at Kids' Club that may be shared externally (e.g. printed literature, social media). All photos/videos are stored on our secure church server and we won't share children's names or personal details alongside photos/videos. You'll see a tick box on the sign up form where you can let us know whether you give consent for this or not.

We need lots of team to run an event like Kids' Club- if you are able to volunteer to help at the event, please email us at kids@gracechurchnottingham.org , we'd love to have you!

Nations Sunday
Nations Sunday is a very special day for us as we celebrate the beautiful cultural diversity within our church family. If you'd like to bring some food for us to share from your home country, please fill out this form and we'll send you more details.

We'll still be running our usual children's programmes at both meetings. If you're not able to make it in person, you can also tune in online

Good Friday
This Good Friday, join us for a night of worship and reflection.

Over the last few years, our Good Friday event has been a precious, moving evening and a chance to pause to remember Jesus. We'll centre everything around a cross in the middle of the room and focus our worship and attention on the events of that day. The night will finish with us taking communion together

The Bereavement Journey
Thank you for considering The Bereavement Journey. We run the course once each year, usually beginning in April. If registration is currently open, please sign-up below. If not, registration for the next course generally opens two to three months before the start date.

The Bereavement Journey is run in numerous places around Nottingham. Do check the link below for other venues.

Nottingham and other UK locations

If you have a question about the Grace Church course, please email bereavement@gracechurchnottingham.org

The Bereavement Journey is a 7 week programme designed to help anyone explore and process the loss of someone important to them. Grief is often accompanied by deep sorrow and pain. The separation from someone close to us causes emotional, psychological and physical reactions which can feel overwhelming. Loss needs to be processed for our physical and mental health and wellbeing. Unresolved grief can also affect our attitudes, relationships and attainment

The Bereavement Journey has been designed to validate every person's experience and support them as they learn to live life without the person they love, through a series of films and discussion groups that gently guide people bereaved at any time through the most common aspects of grief and bereavement, enabling them to process the implications for themselves and discern next steps. Topics include: "Attachment, separation and loss", "The impact and pain of bereavement", "Anger and guilt", "Coping with others' reactions", "Adjusting to change", "Delayed and suppressed grief", and "Moving forward healthily". The course provides a great place for talking to others who have been bereaved, or just hear how others are experiencing and dealing with similar issues. Grief is more easily managed when journeying with others and past losses can be opened up safely. The Bereavement Journey has been found valuable to anyone, bereaved at anytime and from walks of life.

Some more general information can be found online at https://www.thebereavementjourney.org/ and questions about our course at Grace Church can be sent to bereavement@gracechurchnottingham.org

So that we can cater well for those wishing to attend the course, it is essential that you sign up in advance - signups usually open in January each year. There is a £10 charge to cover the cost of materials. However, if this would cause you difficulties in any way, please contact us. Doors will open at 7.15pm for a prompt 7.30pm start each week.
