Easter

Easter is the biggest event in the Christian calendar and we can’t wait to share it together this year. You can find out what’s happening below.

☀ Easter Sunday

On Sunday 9th April we'll be celebrating Easter Sunday at Grace Church. Our Easter celebrations are at 10am and 4pm (there isn’t a 7:30pm service on this Sunday). We have guest speaker Mark Ritchie joining us at both services. Mark is an international speaker, podcaster, and evangelist. We'll have worship with our live band and a chance to hear real life stories of people whose lives have been transformed by Jesus. We’ll also be running Easter-themed parties in our kids’ groups for ages 0-11.

Parking

If you're coming to the 10am service you can either park in the Bluecoat College car park which is located on Castle Road (opens at 9:40am, locked at 12:30pm) or in the Irish Centre pub car park located on Wilford Street; if you're coming to the 4pm service you can only use the Irish Centre car park. See a map of these options here.

✞ Good Friday Service

Over the last few years, our Good Friday event has been a precious, moving evening as we spend the evening remembering and celebrating the finished work of the cross. We centre everything around a large, wooden cross in the middle of the room and focus our worship and attention on the events of that infamous day. As part of the night we’ll hear the passion story retold and take communion together. It starts at 8pm. Watch the promo video below to get an idea of what to expect.

✩ Good Friday for Families

From 10am-12pm on the morning of Good Friday we're hosting an interactive space at our church building for families and kids to come and explore the story of Easter in a really fun, accessible way. You can drop in at any point between 10am-12pm, where there will be a variety of stations and activities for you and your kids to learn together about the cross and the resurrection. It'll be suitable for children in primary school.

Passion Week Devotionals

Last year we shared a series of devotional podcasts for Passion Week. Each episode explores a location that Jesus visited in the lead up to His death. You can catch up and find those episodes below. You can find them on our media page or find the first episode below and listen from there.
