Prayer is at the heart of who we are. We believe in the immense power of prayer and the gift that it is to us as we seek to know God more. We want to be a prayerful people, those who make it a priority in our busy lives. There is benefit both to learning to pray alone and to praying with others. Below you can find out more about ways you can join with us in prayer and grow in your own relationship with God.
Month of Prayer 2026
At the outset of every new year we set aside a month to pray as a church. We know how easy it can be to come into the year and quickly get sucked into unrealistic expectations and pressure from the world around us, so we prioritise a yearly rhythm of prayer, spending time together and in our homes praying and trusting God with everything the year holds.
During January we stop most of our regular church activities to intentionally create space to pray and seek God. The month includes weekly prayer and worship nights at our church building, other smaller prayer meetings as well as a range of prayer opportunities guided in the booklet. You can access this year's prayer booklet by hitting the link below.

Weeks of Prayer
As well as our big Month of Prayer in January, twice a year we set aside three days to pray and fast together as a church. These days of Prayer & Fasting always play a huge part in the heartbeat of our church; we see God break through in circumstances in our church and city, and we find God forms us more and more into the likeness of Chris as we pray. Look out for these days of Prayer & Fasting in our announcements on Sundays or on the events page of the website.
Women’s Prayer Pods
If you’re a woman and would like to pray with a handful of others, prayer pods are a great way to support one another and learn to pray from other women in the church. If you’re interested in becoming part of a prayer pod, please email the office on hello@gracechurchnottingham.org.
Prayer for the Nations
We believe the worldwide church is one big family which is why we gather once a month to pray for Christians around the world. At these gatherings we make it a priority to particularly pray for the persecuted church. To see when the next Prayer for the Nations meeting is, head to our events page.
